Landlord Wise Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the Landlord Wise platform at landlordwise.com.au. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information – when you register or sign in, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details.
- Property and tenancy data – information you enter into the platform, including property details, tenancy agreements, condition reports, maintenance records, and documents you upload.
- Financial data – rental income, expenses, depreciation records, and other financial information you enter.
- Usage data – information collected automatically, such as your browser type, IP address, device information, pages visited, referral URLs, timestamps, and how you interact with the platform.
- Payment information – payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your credit card or bank account details on our servers.

- Provide, operate, and maintain the Landlord Wise platform
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send service notifications, reminders, and important updates

We use third-party cloud infrastructure, AI providers, and payment processors to operate the Landlord Wise platform. These third parties may process your data as part of delivering the service. Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy and security practices.
These providers are prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than providing the services we have engaged them to deliver.
4. AI-Powered Features
Landlord Wise includes AI-powered features, including the Wise AI Assistant. When you use these features, your queries, AI responses, relevant account data, IP address, browser or device information, page URL, and timestamps may be processed or stored to generate responses, monitor safety and quality, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve the service. This processing is subject to those providers' terms and data handling practices where third-party AI providers are used.

5. International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party service providers are based outside of Australia. Your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside of Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled in accordance with this policy and applicable Australian privacy law.
6. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Breach Notification
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you as soon as practicable. We will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data and associated records. Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of Landlord Wise after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
